Sunday, March 17, 2013
Synopsis: Sometimes discovering the truth can leave you more hopeless than believing the lies…

That’s what seventeen-year-old Sky realizes after she meets Dean Holder. A guy with a reputation that rivals her own and an uncanny ability to invoke feelings in her she’s never had before. He terrifies her and captivates her all in the span of just one encounter, and something about the way he makes her feel sparks buried memories from a past that she wishes could just stay buried.

Sky struggles to keep him at a distance knowing he’s nothing but trouble, but Holder insists on learning everything about her. After finally caving to his unwavering pursuit, Sky soon finds that Holder isn’t at all who he’s been claiming to be. When the secrets he’s been keeping are finally revealed, every single facet of Sky’s life will change forever.

Review: While reading Hopeless I found myself on an emotional roller coaster like no other. This is probably one of my favorite books that I've ever read. In a few words this book is phenomenal, priceless, gut wrenching, and absolutely heartbreaking. A few times throughout the book I actually found myself at a little breathless. The characters are absolutely wonderful and the story was very well written. Sky is a strong independent almost 18 year old and I liked her and her best friend Six right from the start. And Holder mmm Holder! He's an amazing character and I think I may have fallen for him right along with her!

Hopeless does contain quite a dark plot at certain points and I can see where some people may not like the book because of it. I did find myself more than a little disturbed at times but it allowed me to see the strength in the characters and love them even more! I truly can't wait to read the next one!
