The YARN Fall Treats Poem Drive and Contest

Greetings from Stephanie, book reviewer for Boekie’s Book Reviews and Public Relations Intern at YARN. In case it’s been awhile since you’ve seen YARN online, YARN is an award-winning literary journal that publishes short-form YA by both emerging and established writers. This month, YARN is hosting the Fall Treats Poem Drive and Contest. That’s right. A contest!

All you have to do to enter is write a three-line poem about your favorite fall treat--cookies, candy, apples, pumpkins, cider donuts, you name it--and post it as a comment on this web page. Be sure to make your email address visible in the comment and post your poems by 5 p.m. EST on Sunday, October 28. Keep in mind that you can post as many poems as you like.

As long as you enter, you’ll be a part of a collection of 3-lined poems written by YARN readers about their favorite fall treats. One winner will receive a $25 gift card to the local bookstore of his or her choice and have his or her poem featured on YARN.

In need of some inspiration? Check out the poem that inspired it all and last year’s winning poem.

Happy writing!

My reviews are my honest opinion. I am in no way paid for my thoughts. Each book I review is either a review copy (ARC) given to me by the publisher or author or a copy I've purchased on my own.
