Pleasures to Seduce TOUR!

Wednesday, August 22, 2012
Synopsis: Captain William Langley knows the ocean well, but nothing could prepare him for what he discovers adrift on the cold Irish Sea. The tiny boat carries two passengers: a child—and Meg Donovan, Will's long-lost love. Meg's disappearance at sea eight years ago was a devastating blow. Now she's back, as beautiful as ever, and with secrets as deep as Will's own.

After years held captive by a cold-blooded pirate, Meg has finally escaped with little Jake, the boy she's come to love as if he were her own. But the pirate wants his revenge—and Meg must do whatever it takes to shield Jake from the madman. Determined not to lose Meg again, Will vows to protect them both, yet Meg can't risk putting the only man she's ever loved in danger. With the threat to her safety growing, and her passion for Will burning brighter every day, surrendering herself to Will might be a pleasure too tempting to resist.

Review: Pleasures of a Tempted Lady by Jennifer Haymore is a great historical romance filled with pirates, long-lost love and a strong leading lady. Meg is a wreck when she is first introduced into the story, but her heart is wholesome and Will vows to protect her from her vicious captors. I enjoyed the motherly relationship that she had with Jake, it really brought out her tenderness as a character. I loved that there was a past relationship between Meg and Will because it really added to the emotional level of the story. In the beginning you're introduced to some background story which works great to update the reader. Although this story is the third book in the Donovan series, it works well as a stand alone. Overall, Pleasures of a Tempted Lady is a wonderful historical romance filled with memorable characters and a beautiful setting among the sea.

A Heart Divided

Blessed with an uncanny gift for mathematics, the lovely Lydia Kellaway can solve the most complex puzzles. The one thing she can’t figure out? How to manage the most infuriating man she’s ever encountered.

A Passion Multiplied

Alexander Hall, Viscount Northwood, has purchased a one-of-a-kind locket from a pawnshop, unaware of the priceless sentiment it holds for Lydia. The gentlemanly thing to do would be to simply return it. But Lydia sparks a desire that has Alexander curious to see just how bold this brilliant beauty will be…

A Love Unequaled

What begins as a playful wager quickly escalates into a contest of the minds, a clash of the wills—and a battle of the sexes—as their fiery attraction grows. Even a genius like Lydia can’t account for the feelings Alexander arouses with his smile, or the fire he ignites with his touch. But when a dark family secret is suddenly thrown into the equation, it just might divide them forever.

Review: A Study in Seduction was a fun and easy read! I really enjoyed this story and I loved Lydia, she's smart, feisty and a fun character. I really enjoyed this story because the attraction between Lydia and Alexander didn't just revolve around physical attraction but also personality wise. The two become friends and a chemistry begins to build more and more between them. I really appreciated that Rowan took great detail with her characters. Lydia's mind is what is valued above all. She's brilliant! I loved that idea because so many times romance stories revolve only around physical beauty. Overall, it was fun reading about the two characters interacting and the wagers that occurred between them. I loved the small amount of mystery in the story and the drama build up. I would highly recommend this novel to any romance lover!
